Walnuts

Today I dried and then dry-pack canned 5 pounds of walnuts! Unfortunately, Jeff confessed that he's not really fond of walnuts. I think they're okay except for that bitter one I get every now and then. Bleh! Bleh! So, I was thinking, since my kids aren't too fond of walnuts either, I'm going to have to find a recipe to make sugar coated walnuts or something. Have you ever had those? They're absolutely yummy-licious! I've had them in salads at other peoples home's before, (There's nothing like the sweet nutty crunch of a sugar coated walnut in a spinach salad!) but I have no idea where they get sugar coated walnuts. Make 'em, I guess! Then I could dry-pack can them again to use in my own salads and give some away at Christmas time!
