July 2010 - Visiting More Grandparents - Part 1

Eli had his first ride in an airplane this summer! The children and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa O for a couple of weeks. Stacy, Scott, and Shanna were there with their spouses and children (minus Shanna's husband, Hugh, as he was deployed). Steven couldn't come out, but Amy and her two daughters did! It was really great getting to know her better because I had only met her one time before and that was last November when they got married. She's really great! :) Samantha and Greg couldn't come, but my nephews Keldon and Aaron represented their family.
The cousins had a lot of fun playing together the whole time! We watched fireworks on the TV this year for Independence Day.
Legos were very popular among the cousins old enough to play with them.
We made pretzels...Anders made a ski mask.
With 15 grandchildren visiting, my parents decided that each child would have there own "special day", since we're not together for birthdays. The "special day" would be announced after dinner and then we would all sing "Happy Special Day to You." Then we all got mini ice cream cones and the special child of the day would get their own packaged chocolate cupcake.
All of the children tie-dyed shirts just for fun. Shanna and I tie-dyed onsies for our babies.
Leif's tie-dyed shirts turned out great! I like the boy colors on my boy. ;)
Grandpa set up his large teepee for the children to play in.
Anders got to drive the riding lawn mower with Uncle Stacy!
Here is one attempt at a "cousins" picture.
The children played Bingo with Grandma.
More to come...
